HOPE Squad

What is a Hope Squad?  

  • Hope Squad is a school based peer-to-peer suicide prevention program.
  • Hope Squad members are nominated by their peers as trustworthy classmates that are empathetic and approachable. They are trained to identify at-risk students, provide friendship and seek help from an adult.
  • Hope Squad advisors provide ongoing training, support, and monitoring of Hope Squad members.



What are the goals of Hope Squad at Central?


  • Improve mental health education while reducing the stigma
  • Promote mental wellness in school 
  • Reach students in need quickly and intentionally
  • Enhance the school culture as a community of support
